You may have seen the advertisements. They show models pictured from the waist down, with tan, toned legs wearing what can only be described as underwear and sporty looking flip flops.
a workout while you walk is the tagline. The label reads the flip flop with the gym builtin. In case you didn fall for the picture of the perfect legs, they back up their claims with several paragraphs of scientific test results, performed by the Centre for Human Performance at London South Bank University.
If only I had these magical shoes, I could have those toned legs and sport underwear in public! Without the will to resist, I immediately rushed to the nearest Macy and put down $50 for a pair of FitFlops.
I slipped them on and went to run errands at Costco. Walking from the car to the store was no problem. I was just fine making my way to the produce section. By the time I sauntered up to the registers, I noticed my legs were a little tired. Not my feet, my legs.
What was this? In a few months I would no longer need cardio equipment or sugar substitutes! I will wear underwear in public and it won be in my sleep! All this time I thought exercise and diet was the answer, but it turns out that all I needed was the right shoe.
Yes, I believe that is underwear
I wore the flipflop for two weeks, wherever wearing the casual sandal was acceptable. I wore them to walk the dog, to the grocerey store, and around the house. By day three, my legs no longer got tired. I seem to have reached the plateau. I was already used to them. It was no longer work. My legs did not look any different and the scale did not budge.
I will give them credit that my feet do not get tired while walking in my FitFlops, as they often do in regular, Flipflop Singapore. They seem to offer a supportive foot bed and shock absorbing sole. I will definitely be substituting FitFlops for my regular flops. Will FitFlops make you fit? That for you to decide. Personally, I keeping my gym membership.
